One of the stops on our vacation was Montezuma Castle--it was amazing! I'm finally getting a chance to paint it. . Blocked in all the color shapes and did a little work on the foreground--about two hours in.

While on vacation I had the opportunity to do some sketching. I really like working on Strathmore, tan toned, 80 lb paper.

The Dawn-Treader Christian-School has a fabulous art room. If you have a chance, you are welcome to observe one of my classes on Saturday. Classes are from 9 am to 3 pm.

A posthumous portrait of my mom: I never painted her, but had a photo when she was around twenty years old (shortly after giving birth to me.) She was our matriarch.
